I used to call myself the Dead Jesster before I started the Lucid Avatar name. I had a logo and everything. Anyways, here's an avatar of the dead jesster in all his glory...yeah, I know, he's smoking. Bad skeletal jester. I personally don't smoke, and don't condone it, but whatever. It looked cool.
Really nice Logo! I love the art and everything! How did you make the lines come out so smooth? Is it because you have a good scanner, or is there any particular program that makes it so smooth (e.g A scanning program, or photoshop?). If you made the lines smooth using photoshop please tell me how I'm having trouble making my lines come out smooth, they usually end up all edgy, or blurry.
I still love this guy. Always will. As to the clean lines I just ink real careful and erase the paper as much as possible to get rid of all the smudges. Then I scan it in at a high res, usually 300-500 pixels. Take it to photoshop. Go to the levels tool. Drag the right one to the left until most of the gray smudge areas are gone, don't go too far or you'll lose the image as well. Then I drag the middle one to the right until the black lines are nice and crisp. If it still doesn't look as nice as I want it I go to contrast/brightness and mess around with both of those until I have the desired crispiness.
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
